Ron Jon Surf Shop

2 million people trek to Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach every year. There is even free parking, though arrive early as the spaces fill up with you guessed it, surfers. Ron Jon boasts about being open 24 hours a day like the beach and there are often autograph signings by famous surfers, demonstrations and music. The store itself is beautiful with surfing sculptures and other art.

The Dinosaur Store

Have a dinosaur fan in the family? Then The Dinosaur Store in Cocoa Beach is a must see. This is the genuine deal. The store was founded by a couples love for digging and each specimen is personally hand selected by them. Their collection is so good that many pieces are included in museum exhibits. Admission is free and the knowledge first rate.

From space to surfing to sunbathing and dinosaurs, the Space Coast offers much for the frugal traveler, proving that there is more to Florida than Disney.
