Drills for Volleyball Practice - Focus on Serving

Serve's Up

When looking for new drills for volleyball practice, I sometimes like a series of training sessions to be grouped, based on the same skills and use half the usual time for practice exercises and half of the players in the spotlight. The following exercises highlight interest and are a good way to improve your team served skill and accuracy. A good serve is vital to winning a volleyball game, and by using these exercises in your next practice, youto begin to reserve the progress made in the service skills of your team.

Serving Gulf makes me want to yell "Fore!"

The first of the serving drills for volleyball practice, this means serving Gulf. Before you have any wild ideas about nine iron and sand wedge is the game similar to golf only in the sense that it achieves. Start by the court was in 6 areas, it mentally or with tape. The court division is as follows: Area 1, the right back, is Room 2front right side of the field is 3 in front in the middle, is the front left area 4, area 5, the left area 6 is back and is the center back.

The objective of the drill is for each of the locations a serve at a time, too. You can either allow a player as many attempts as they need to hit every 6 or are to serve the players, one ball at a time and to track where they are seeking. Be sure to count how many it serves keep takes for each player each area to make, and at the end add up the number of serves fortheir final score.

Not only that this exercise helps to build confidence, it also forces players with a precision that can be a good opportunity to take advantage of the opposing team's weakness by constantly serves to serve the weaker players on their team.

Until next server vs. pedestrians

This fun game is a great addition to your line-up training for volleyball practice. Although it is a 1-on-1 game by spreading the couple may have up to 6 players simultaneously. At the beginningthe drill, have players stand at the finish line, while their partner stands directly opposite them on the other side of the net. Player 1 is the server and player 2 is the passersby. A third player stands in the center front and act through the network as a target for passers-by.

At the sound of your whistle, the server serves the ball in the direction of passers-by. If the serve is in a step of passers-by, the passer has the ball within one step past the goal. The point distributionreads as follows: is a point to serve on the server for good, and one point is awarded for the passers-by gave a perfect pass. Once a player has reached 3 points, they exchange places with the goal, and both parties begin the game to zero points apiece.
